Viren Kaul is a 20 year old medical student in Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, Karnataka, India. His main research interest is Public Health. He has won the best undergraduate presentation award for a study on “knowledge and practices of 10th std. girls in Hubli city regarding prevention of anemia” at the 19th annual Karnataka Association of Community Health state-wide conference.

He is also a peer-reviewer for BMJ student.

He is now the secretary of Indian Medical Association, Students Wing, Hubli, and the Executive Member of Literary and Cultural Association.
 

Recently, his paper entitled "Anemia Awareness and prevention in adolescent school girls and mothers' literacy status: An indirect correlate" has been accepted for Poster Presentation in the 52nd National Conference of Indian Public Health Association being organized at the Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi from 7th to 9th March 2008.
