Viren Kaul is a 21 year old medical student, presently in the final year of his undergraduate studies in the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, India.
He is a peer-reviewer for BMJ student and has won the best undergraduate presentation award for a study on "knowledge and practices of 10th std. girls in Hubli city regarding prevention of anemia" at the 19th annual Karnataka Association of Community Health state-wide conference.

He presented a paper titled : "Anemia Awareness and prevention in adolescent school girls and mothers' literacy status: An indirect correlate" at the 52nd National Conference of Indian Public Health Association organized at the Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi from 7th to 9th March 2008. Recently, an article written by him, titled "Where's the case (patient) today?" has been accepted by the Indian Journal of Community Medicine (Post Graduate Institute Of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India) for publication.
He was awarded the Best Undergraduate Presentation Award at IOMC 2008.

Currently he is the Student Advisor for the Indian Medical Association, Students Wing in his Institute.
